[V8] 28mm front sway bar

 I've ordered several of these over the years myself.  The inner brackets are beefy cast steel, and make the type 44 stamped steel ones look like cheap tin.  Worth every penny as they also stiffen the mounting to the subframe itself.  There is an orientation dent in the subframe, energy suspension generics won't work, bttt.  I have seen euro sourced bushings for both the 28 and the 30mm bars (Demon Tweeks?), but nothing from the ES bin fits, bttt.  WRT the C4, it is a different bar entirely, besides, the C4 can grab any front sway bar from a C4 wagon, since all C4 avants are 28mm in the USA.  I have seen factory 28MM bars in the USA on ABH equipped v8, but they appear to be a rare addition with no particular rhyme or reason.

Good info there.  Strange your dealer has them 80 bucks cheaper.  I'll see what 
I can do.  Any idea if an energy suspension or etc replacement for the inner 
mounts would work?  60 bucks is a ton for a bracket and rubber.

I have experience here, so I'll chime in as best I can...

Part# 441-411-309-H is the 28mm bar for a V8 and it is, to this day, a valid USA 
part number. So, while there may not be stock in a US depot, any dealer SHOULD 
be able to order it for you. I have ordered several of them over the years (and 
currently have one on my 200 20v), but it has been 2-3 years since my last 
order, so it could have gone NLA over here. Sunset Audi says that they are 
~$180.00.

Additionally, DO NOT forget to order the subframe brackets and inner bushings. 
They ARE different! The inner bracket is part number 441-411-336-D and Sunset 
says ~$63/ea (X2). The inner bushing is part number 441-411-327-A and they are 
~$11/ea (x2).

As for the C4 Chassis: No, this sway bar for the V8 will not fit those cars. It 
will fit 200's and 5000's though.
