[V8] Snow? What snow?

We watched the news last night. And laughed. And laughed. And laughed.
And laughed. And laughed some more.

Oh, to be sure: you folks in the mid-Atlantic are really getting snow
punished. We feel your pain from the position of having been there and done
that a lot.

But while it is piling up down there, we are enjoying bright sunshine and
relatively mild temperatures. It was in the upper twenties to low thirties
yesterday and when I got home in the late afternoon, the ice in the gravel
driveway had melted to water in most places. On Tuesday under an enormous
bright blue cloudless sky, the temperature reached into the upper forties.

We have not had any snow fall here for more than two weeks. And there is no
snow forecast for today. Or tomorrow. Or the next day. Or the day after
that. Or the day after that. Or.....as far as the weatherman can see.

I am thinking of getting out the lawn chairs and my bikini. Maybe firing up
the grille....

Not too much sympathy for the DC area though. After all the snowjobs
Washington has handed out to the rest of us over the recent months and
years, it serves 'em right to get it all back.

Roger
