[V8] That familiar face is back....

This one is a 200 20V Avant in New Hampshire. The car is dark blue with
grey and sport seats and moderate screwing around in the engine compartment.
The car has wormed its way through eBay before with no success, and I guess
it will not move far this trip either.

Supposedly exhaustively maintained, I asked about the exact age of the
timing belt/water pump service, as well as the exact age of the brakes and
suspension pieces. The rear suspensions on these cars MUST be watched
carefully in New England because everying goes to hell in a handbasket by
around 85,000 miles. I know this because I have had three type 44 Avants
and they all had to have ALL the rear suspension bushings and assorted
trailing arms replaced by before 100,000 miles except for the '89 that spent
most of its winters in Key Largo, Florida. That car needed its rear
suspension rebuilt at around 130,000 miles.

The owner suggested that I just trot down to New Hampshire and paw through
the stack of maintenance records because the car's service history is
impeccable. OR I could call and talk with the mechanic.

Strange attitude. It's a nice looking car. But although it is going to be
hard for this owner to believe, he doesn't have the ONLY 20V Avant in
Christendom.

I'll continue looking. Eventually, I may have to break down and get another
Type 44 Avant. Meanwhile, I AM perusing the Dyson website for the suitable
bribe for my wife.....

P.S. I think I have seen this same Indigo Avant on eBay at least twice
before....maybe there really is a title issue?
