[V8] That familiar face is back....

Thanks, but I'll pass on this one. It's nice and all, but I am only 1/2
interested in anything, and if I was even a smidgen more, and thought I
could get hot about it, I'd take the V8 down the road.

The guy has spent a LOT of money on this car, and one can presume that all
was done correctly. But a New England car is still a New England car, so it
would need to have a LOT done to it in a 140,000 miles to be worth much
attention at all.

There is a very nice looking 200 20v Avant out on the west coast now that is
white, and if I buy another Type 44 Avant, I think it will need to be a
different color than black or Cayenne, which were the colors of Avant #'s 2,
3 and 4.

I'll watch the auction, and I might change my mind later on, but for now,
I'll pass.

I did receive a nice "make nice" email from the seller this morning, and if
I interpret what he is saying, he has poured a lot of money into the car,
concentrating mostly on the front seats, but has no real connection with the
mechanicals of the car, leaving it all to the mechanic. That might be
great, and might not be great. The car has some modifications for power and
performance, and it seems to me that if some serious bucks are spent on big
time engine mods on these cars, for a seller to say he "can't remember" what
the mechanic has done with the money he was given just doesn't pass the
straight face test.

At least for me this one doesn't work.

Roger

Depends. NH will not issue a title to a vehicle that is over
15 years old. But since they've had that one for 9 years, since
it was less than 15 years old, they should have a title (which
the listing states they do).

If you are half serious about the car, I could take a look
at it for you, and give you an amateur's eye sanity check.
