[V8] CD and burping Bose

My daughter is about to go back to college with the Quattro.
For some strange reason she's not impressed with the burping Bose amps  
or the lack of CD player.
(If my dad had offered me a V8 Quattro instead of a 1990 Honda Accord,  
I would have been ecstatic!!)
Anyway, I see that FCSR in Florida will repair my amps for about $80 a  
side. (I've already tried doing the capacitors myself and failed)
But what about a CD player?  What are some good solutions that listers  
have found?
