[V8] Hello (again), and maybe some advice?

Hey Bryan, welcome back, and glad to hear there's another "local"  
V8'er(Seamus and I are in Bellingham), and a 5-speed no less.   
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but when I recently did the OX  
sensor on the 5-speed, there seemed to be way more room in there  
compared to the automatic.  Anyway, the 2 sensor connectors are right  
next to the Oxygen sensor plug...if you follow the wires, you'll see  
a plate with 2- 10mm bolts(think there's 2)...this is the sensor  
holder.  If you take the drivers wheel off, and shine a light thru  
the "frilly" rubber flap where the tie rod is, you can see them, and  
with 2 feet of extension(and maybe a flex end) I was able to get the  
bolts mostly out, then used a 10 mm wrench that I bent(that has come  
in handy in a few spots on this car).  If you want to be cheap,  
someone on here, used some wheel sensors, with some minor  
modification to get them to stay in the holder.  I bought 2 OEM V8  
reference sensors for something like $115 each from one of the online  
places about a year or so ago, and the 5000TQ sensor was only 10  
bucks less or so, but definatly search for both.....The speed sensor/ 
Reference sensor are identical sensors(one's just got a grey  
plug).....so whatever's cheaper.  One plug is right side up, one is  
upside down.  Sometimes you can just switch the connectors, and the  
car will fire up.  Don't suppose your car is Pearl, and you bought it  
in Bellevue?...just curious.  Anyway, get that thing running, and  
I'll come down for a test drive...;-)..Tom
