[V8] Sensors? Still No Hot Start

Hi, On the hottest day of the year, 103 degrees, I had my Sears mechanic install 2 
$33. sensors from Ebay, that are copies?, meant for the Audi 5000. I have to let 
you know the plug ends had to be shaved down to fit my 92'-93' plug sockets, 
probably 90'-91' sockets are like the 5000 model.
Hot Start: It still won't start again after I get to operating temperature. It didn't help 
to pour water on the block. Spraying ether into the air box gave only a sputter 
away, not a solid start like the past. I am curious if these symptoms could be the 
air mass wand? A post refered to cleaning a dirty iat, maf, and lamda/coolant 
sensor. What does iat mean? Any ideas? What if the sensors were plugged in to the 
wrong sockets (ref> speed and speed> ref) what would that do, -I hate to check up 
on the mechanic. Not having a good time with my race car, which always ran rich 
and ignited immediately.  Bob
