[V8] replaced the Winter car....or how do you like me new A8?

When I first heard that the A6 was coming out with a V8, I started to froth
at the mouth. Then I took a long hard look at the car, and decided that I
just didn't like the looks of the car regardless of what was between its
front legs.

The A8 is a much better looking car.more, well, mature and refined than the
lesser cars. I think you will be tickled pink with the A8 and your V8 may
lose a lot of it luster very quickly. Sigh. (cue the music: Another one
bites the dust...)

Roger

GREAT price. That $8000 transmission overhaul won't hurt a bit!

totally fair Roger ... the cold weather is now coming your way :-)

the A8 I got has 112k (Miles) on which I consider not too bad for a 12yr old
car. I've been poking my head around and all I can find is Genuine Audi
Parts on the car so it has been very well maintained. In 2002 a guy bought
it from a dealership for 49,000 I bought it for 4600usd.

There are a few things to be done to the car to get it on the road. Tonight
I'm going to be replacing all the 8 front control arms / sway bar links /
tie rod ends. The car will drive like new. If I don't like it during the
winter I will then get an A6 4.2 :-)
