[V8] Catastrophic pump failure

Well, we all know that we are living on borrowed time with these cars
until come kind of "event" happens. I was really enjoying the "leak
free" nature of the 5-speed, until today. I only ran a few errands,
and probably only drove 10 miles or so, when I smelled the smell of
burning Pentosin. I've been watching an almost unnoticeable drip
from what I thought was one of the x-caps, but I lost the entire
volume of the reservoir today, and it looks like it's coming out of
the shaft. IT"S EVERYWHERE! All the hoses are new. With all the
energy that went into building this car, and how disasterous the
Hydraulic system is, maybe they could have figured out how to rig it
into the Autocheck thing. I'd much rather known that the dam had
burst, rather than some bulb somewhere needs attention. Good thing
is I didn't fry it (still a little in there, as the steering was
still working), and I recently got the rebuild kit in a "gift box"
inside the large crate I just received(more on that later)....I will
remove it tomorrow, and let you know how that goes. Thanks whoever
it was that posted that section from the Bentley on pump
rebuilding....It will be a big help....Sincerely Tom
