[V8] Headliner Fell

If you redo it I have a few tips for you, I just finally finished my whole
interior project the other day.  I need to get pictures up for the list
sometime in the future.

Oh, also, the V8 headliner is mostly fiberglass, and pretty durable.

I'd start by getting it out, and making a list of where everything goes.
Its a pain in the arse.  There is a good detailed "how to" done by Ron W.
in response to me in the list archives from summer 2009, so that might help
you out.  Its not fun putting it back together when your lost.

Scraping the glue mess off is a bitch.  Some goo gone or soap in very
liberal quantities makes it much better.   I also sanded the surface down
afterward and put a think coat of fiberglass resin down and sanded that as
well.  Made the surface clean again.

If you want to do it yourself, when you choose material you need a material
that will stretch some.  Or you have to be wicked good at sewing.  I made
the mistake the first time in 1. not choosing a stretchy material and 2.
thinking I knew what I was doing.   Suede doesn't work unless it has a 1/8
th 1/4 inch bit of foam backing (non sitcky) so that it can stretch over the
contours.  I have a few yards left I'll get a photo for you, to show which
of the two works.

In the end, I did all the pillars, the rear shelf, the sunroof, and the
roof.  It looks pretty bad ass.

One more tip.  If you get the headliner out for a while, it must stay flat.
Don't lean it upright in any way, I tweaked mine by leaving it standing for
a week.  it sucks.
