[V8] question on CV joints.

Steve, you are correct, that's more for bearings and I wasn't thinking
correctly.  The car steers/drives fine and shows no joint symptoms.

Bob may mean he has to do a *different* one every 18 mos - since he's got
eight on the car.  ON that note, I was in Firestone today and the manager
was saying even on his own cars, he can't get boot replacement to last long;
the radiator clip attachment let's the boot slip and eventually it twists
enough to start a tear under load.  He said to try to get a take-off 1/2
axle complete and bolt it up.  Which makes me ask:

Isn't there  a difference in the inboard cv joint on a manual vs auto car?
I think I recall hearing that once.  This is a manual I am repairing.
