Brad, those pieces have a pot metal skeleton that rots away, and causes this. When new, it keeps the piece rigid, and allows it to slide in a track. when old and rotted, it falls out of the track at the ends, and only gets worse. I don't believe theres a method of gluing it, and still having it look good. if this is of no concern to you, then a pl500 may do the trick for you. Its a construction adhesive, and can be purchased at home depot. Al

Subject: [V8] Rubber Trim
I recently bought a 1995 Audi A6 Quattro automatic for my daughter in
college. There is some rubber trim at the bottom of the front doors (rear
part of the front doors) that is coming loose and needs gluing.
Any suggestions for the type of adhesive I might try? (other than replacing
the rubber trim and all associated mechanical parts to hold it in place,
gluing seems to be the only fix.)
Thanks,
Brad
