[V8] Maybe the Audi gurus can help

I vote for strut bearings, seeing as you have replaced all the other  
possible suspects.
I did not resolve my -clunking- (V8 that is) till I replaced them, it was  
only noticeable wheel the wheel got noticeably off-loaded, never a noise 
just  over wallowing bumps, but plenty over rough pavement, potholes, ect. 
I would also make sure the two bolts holding the steering rack are tight,  
and that the rack's mounting tabs are not broken, nor it mount to the body 
which  has been know to crack.
