[V8] Front wheel centering, Trans Mounts, and a Thank you.

Huzzah! I spent about 8 hours slapping things onto the V8 yesterday. And,
amazingly, the VERY FIRST CRANK she fired back up. It was a little long
though. This is surprising since I had the whole fuel system on the front
end of the car out and back in, as well as the alternator and battery and a
few other things...

So, It occurred to me I haven't driven the V8 in about 3 months. The car
still bucked and idled like crap, the alternator was 100% dead, and I still
had some left-over issues from when my front right swaybar Nut decided to
jump ship. So, Monday I finally buckled down at about 8pm and started
putting the suspension back together. Rebuild cv's went in, re-done Control
arms I pressed some bushings in, new sway bar end busings, and a few other
things, then put it on some wood and tightened it down under load, just like
you're supposed too. Even 2x nuts on the swaybar ends, w/locktite. Woo!
Then I got the new alternator put together and back in the car, which was
F-U-N fun! Had to put in the New FPR, engine dampener, heat shields and
intake, and bam, about 9pm tues it was together and it fired up.

Turns out that my issue with bad idle, intermittent power and stumble
was one or more bad fuel injectors. As per a lister's suggestion, Ford
Racing 19#'rs did the trick. (THANKS SEAN AND PAUL!) The new 034 motor
mounts I slightly modified cleaned up a lot of slop in the drive train, but
still have an issue with the tranny mount. Its the ONLY thing I haven't
replaced now, aside from diff bushings.

Took a look at everything, checked the suspension, bounced it a few
times, and checked my lock-lock for tire rub, and found that the *front
passenger side* tire rubs slightly on a full right turn. The driver's side
doesn't rub on a full left unless you give the suspension a good push down.
This makes sense, as the tires are only centered I'd say 33/66% with the
smaller gap in the rear, so the tires are closer to the doors than the
bumper. As well, the trans/drivetrain have some bumps in them
intermittently, not really easy to track it down. But you can feel things
shift around a bit. Not nearly as violent as before, just barely
noticeable. I still think this is my P-side trans mount, which seriously
flopped around like no tomorrow last I saw it.

So, two questions. Does anyone have an Automatic Tranny mount they can
take a picture of or even better a quick video showing any movement? You
could seriously move the top shaft in any direction in relation to the
bottom part, as if there was no rubber/etc inside it at all.
And, how can I move the wheels slightly forward in the wheel well? I
assume maybe there is a small bit of adjustment in the subframe mounting?
This is possible as I've messed with that before. Do I have to disassemble
the suspension to do this? It doesn't look like it.

The car sure does run better now, btw, I'm quite impressed. The V8 is
super smooth, idles at something like 750rpm, great pick up, just super
nice. Also, my Temp gauge works, reading 80-90*C right bellow what the Oil
temp usually reads. It seems as though I might have had a sensor loose near
the alternator and I fixed it during that install. Go figure. I think
there is one on the block and one in the lower corner of the rad. (oil and
the second coolant I think.) So, I kinda get why you crazy people like this
car and that motor. Its pretty stellar. Me? I don't have a problem.
You're the crazy ones. I'm good.
