Could be the very common (at least in Rust Belt regions) corroded fuel
delivery line running along the passenger side of the vehicle. Look for
drips while the engine is running. I've also had to replace a fuel tank on
a 200q that would leak any time it was over half full.

Howdy.I know this is exactly the right forum for my '90 200tq 10v, but you
guys are so knowledgeable that I thought I'd just toss it out.

I have a VERY strong smell of gas in my car recently that seems to begin
only after I start it and drive it for a few miles. It seems to be coming
from the rear. I have SCOURED the engine compartment and nothing seems to be
leaking, nor does it appear to be leaking from the fuel accumulator. This
basically started in earnest about 3 days ago. It seems to have gotten
progressively worse, and now I'm beginning to experience difficulty starting
the car.

So, a week or so ago I replaced the fuel pump, and I now have reason to
believe that the vent hose was NOT reconnected. This hose is the one that
holds vacuum and terminates at the charcoal canister.

Could THAT be the source of my gremlins?

What say thee, O Sages of the Rings?

Brian
