Hey, well while this kinda relates to boats, it most likely relates
to my Lago car that's been sitting for 2 years now. I've been
reading a bunch about the problems with E-10 gas in boats...and now
that E-10 is everywhere, it's an issue. It's said that E-10 absorbs
50 times more water than standard gas. Since many boat's live on
water, the tank become's a sponge. My boat live's next to the Lago
car, and the pic is from my water separating fuel filter on the boat,
which had about 200 gallons thru it this summer, which is a lot more
mileage than the Lago car(has not moved). Both had Stabil
treatment...car when it was parked....boat anytime I think I won't
use it for a month or so....Anyway, the fuel docks in the state sell
non-ethanol fuel(exempted like the airplanes), cause they know about
the problems with the boats. Biggest problem is with the newer fuel
injected motors/all aluminum...End of story, is if this is what
"modern"fuel can become in 1 year or less, what does the fuel in your
"unused" car look like?...When I finally get to the timing belt in
the Lago....I'm pulling the tank....Tom
