[V8] 5sp VS Auto 3.6 ECU differences?

I changed the fuel filter on the 5-speed when I got it, even  though  
the previous owner(audi mechanic) said he had done so.....just to  
start from scratch.....I change the filter in my diesel truck at 1/2  
the service interval, and it's still an issue.....Everyone should be  
changing their filter's now that we've got E-10......once a  
year......just my 2cents...Tom
