Yep, paid $700 and drove it about 10 hours to Carlisle, then vacation in VA, then back to OK. Probably 2000 miles or so. Ran like a champ, thanks to the previous owner Kevin Hoff.
As it appears to be working out, I may very well be there this year. It looks like we have a project in NJ that ends the thurs or fri before Carlisle.

I was in NJ last week for some job related training. That went to Thurs, then I stayed till sunday and visited former listers Zay Compazano and Dave Coleman, and also spent a day and a half with Michael Smith and his very hospitable family. As it was, we got two of his Coupe GT's running good, and worked on his 944 a bit. I may get a ride down there when work is done (he's in Baltimore) and drive one of his cars up. We'll have to see. If nothing else, I"ll just rent something, though. I'd have loved to bring Petunia for a homecoming, but it's just not in the cards. I have to share driving duties in an 18 wheeler for us to get there on time.
So, everyone keep their fingers crossed that this all works out, and I'll see you there.

BTW, if I see anything out there interesting locally, I might also be tempted........................wouldn't be the first time ;-)
