It would be interesting to know what models this would apply to and what the
failure is.
I found the passenger footwell flooded one day after the last "El Nino" ...
it was the windshield seal that that failed. With the floor mats I wasn't
aware of the water for a while, and the water corroded the wires for hooking
up that VAG1551 ... I swapped in a OBD-II style connector (which eliminates
the need for the adapter on ProDiag).
As I was thinking about water in the passenger footwell I remember with my
old '78 Audi Fox while driving at highway speeds in very heavy rain I would
occasionally get a visible gush of water into the passenger footwell. For a
while it was one of those things you'd notice out of the corner of your eye
... it would usually stop by the time you would look down to see. I thought
the problem was a lack of silicone sealer between a couple of parts of the
unibody, but I was never able to get in there deep enough to see (I stuck my
finger and a glob of silicone sealer up under the windshield a few times,
but never solved the issue). I wonder if a 1978 model would fall under the
lawsuit? :-)

So in my mail I get this letter from some Lawyers aboutt WATER INGRESSION.
Apparently there are more than a few upset Audi owners out there due to
water entering the cabin on the passengers side area. I have owned a couple
of Audi B5 A4's and one B6 A4, thus the reason for receiving this letter.
Wanted to know if any one else got a similar letter.
