NO, NO, No,  the 5k hitch won't fit on a V8 because of differences in the
exhausts.  You need a 200q20v hitch or V8 hitch, both of which have a
larger gap to allow for the exhaust tips.  The 10 valve exhausts don't need
as much room.

So the generic type 44 tow package is the same for the V8, good info. 
The only factory tow package I've ever seen in the flesh was on a 200TQA.
