[V8] Need Tranny Dipstick

Last time I checked with the dealer, which was quite a few years ago,  
they were NLA.   I had every intention of fabricating one up for  
someone at some point with something similar to the dipstick in my  
Duramax....piece of some 1/8" stainless commercial downrigger wire  
with some soldered brass crimps for hi/low.  As long as it slide's  
down the tube smoothly, just need to figure out the top.  If I could  
come up with something that looks stock, with an o-ring seal....how  
many of you are without a dipstick?  I can easily make something just  
to check the level, but it would be nice to have one that live's in  
there(for those who never got one of those rare dipsticks?...Will do  
a test stick tomorrow if I have the time.....Sincerely, Tom
