[V8] Steering rack rant/3.0 engine

3.0 engines are no fun, I agree. 3.0 engines for one reason or another wear the hydraulic lifters and damage the camshaft lobe. 
Tools are expensive, though after a couple of timing belt jobs, they pay for themselves. 

As for steering rack R/R, the RS6 is very difficult, 2.7/3.0 about the same. 
I would not recommend buying anything with the 3.0 engine, IMO.
