[V8] fuel smell

Besides the obvious places (connections under the hood and at the tank),
a place now becoming common is the metal line between the tank and the
engine. In snow-belt states, salt gets under the rubber bushings where
it is attached under the chassis and eats through the line. Look for
dampness at the rubber bushings.
Anticipating the next question if the line is bad, I'll suggest that
some people have spliced rubber fuel injection line at the bad points.
