[V8] Manual gear oil (transmission)

I have been told that GL5 transmission fluids will wipe out the synchros in older transmissions. There is something in the GL5 fluids that eats up the brass that is in the older transmission synchros. If I were to go with Redline, I would be sure to use the GL4 fluid (their MT90 I think) that the factory calls for and you should be good.
