[V8] Replacing Blower Motor in 1990 V8

I'm still able to nurse the existing heater blower motor in my 1990 V8, but 
its days may be numbered.  Are there any detailed descriptions someone could 
point me to as to how to replace this myself?

(FYI, my local Audi mechanic that I've used for 25 years quotes 3 hours of 
shop time.)
