If you are going with a daily driver, and you want to keep it for
quite a few years, and all else being equal (which it never is),
I'd go for the newer one. The C4, being the end of the line, will
have parts No Longer Available sooner than the C5. The C5, being
the first of its generation, should have better parts availability.

Unless Audi changes their mind and starts supporting the "heritage"
cars.
