Well... not everybody lives in the cheap-gas USA, and using LPG to
propel your vehicle does make a lot of economical sense on this side of
the pond. You don't have to be "green", it's just a smart choice.
Especially when you consider that (at least in Germany) you can go as
fast as you want, and a V8 driven fast on the autobahn typically gets
more like 13-14 mpg.
In most European countries, gasoline is just taxed to death and prices
per gallon are twice to two-and-a-half than what they are in the US.
Filling the tank of a V8 with premium in Germany, France, Belguim or
Scandinavia would run you around $150. Generally, fuel costs with LPG
are half of what they would be with gasoline, and an LPG conversion is
the only way many people could afford driving large-engined cars at all.
