[V8] English repair manuals

They pop up on ebay from time to time. Be cautious of copies some that are or would be listed are incomplete.
 But yes the American versions are at least 1,000 pages. There are four three ring hard covered binder type books. 
Bentley never made a manual for the v8 they were Audi official manuals.
 I have the four volumes and a paper type manual of the updated wiring schematics. I HAD a 4.2 wiring manual but I don't have it anymore.

 R&R'ing the thermostat is a piece of cake and doesn't or shouldn't require the manual.

Flush coolant from front of rad
Pull top coolant hose (for ease of removing the lower hose)
Remove lower hose
There are two T-30 bolts to remove the thermostat housing.
Then wiggle the housing out.
He will notice that the weep hole on the thermo is on top.....that's how it should be put back in.
Reverse of removal.

I would all so say to remind him to be careful of the two torx  bolts. They get mushy and are easily stripped if the bit is not fully in the bolt. I usually replace them with a 10mm bolt of the same length.

we have a new member on the www.audiv8.com (the English, but sadly not

Unfortunately I only have the German repair manuals for the V8 but I 
guess that there are also English ones around... could somebody give me 
a hint where to get them (also officially) and how sufficient they are? 
The German ones are maybe 1000 pages and cover absolutely everything I 
could think of - do you have something similar in English (guess so, as 
the US market was the primary export market...)? Are the Bentley manuals 
the original Audi manuals?
