[V8] Little battery maintainers

I have used these for ages with motorcycles, and for while now with my V8,
too. I have had one or two fail. Usually it's pointless. Unless it's an
obvious wire/ground fault clearly visible, it's the circuitry on the solid
state card and that is not easy to repair unless you have some skill.
