Yea, Shooting for about 300+ on the miata. Going to be troublesome to find
a transmission to hold the power. I really don't want to have to go to a GM
trans/rear end *groan* but I may have to. Its actually an MSM (mazda-speed
miata), 2005, last run of the 1999-2005 NB model. Very very similar to the
original 89-97 model in many ways, but it was refreshed/redesigned, and yes,
chassis stiffness went up a lot. Mine is in pretty good shape, should be
fun to drive. need 8 or 9" wheels after htis winter to actually use some of
that power in the end..
I'm starting to see the reasoning of keeping the Sportiness in the sports
car, and keeping the comfortable car comfortable. The miata is not quite,
or comfortable really, but its a lot of fun, and sporty. The V8 was dogsnot
slow in comparision, even with the miata at ~200hp, but was a blast to drive
in its own way. (don't even mention the MSM puts 1.02g on the skid, the V8?
Lol)
Don't think I'll get another v8 though. Too complicated to be perfectly
reliable, honestly...
I do want an A6 4.2 w/6-speed. Sounds like a fun project :)
