[V8] Need: Used Coolant Reservoir for 1990 V8 Quattro Automatic

I bought a new reservoir from the dealer for #344 years ago (remember Didi?) it lasted less time than the original unit from the car! I'd recommend taking Dave's advice ... that is the way it should have been from the start. I don't understand why they used plastic over a brass insert rather than a brass fitting.

I also recommend following Dave's idea of proper drill & thread. For my first attempt I tried epoxy ... which didn't last long.

As a side note, the 90Q's and 4000Q's use a similar reservior. It's actually exactly the same, with the exception of one mounting point. I've interchanged them all in the past. I don't know about V8's, but you still can get new ones for 90Q's.
