I know I answered this question, in detail, last week.
YES, YES, YES. ANY FRONT OUTER CV JOINT FROM A TYPE 44 OR C4 CHASSIS
100/200/V8/A6/S4/S6 THAT USES A BOLT WILL INTERCHANGE.
EXCEPTION.... SOME 1989 MODELS HAVE A HYBRID JOINT THAT STILL USE THE OLD
SNAP RING STYLE OF ATTACHMENT TO THE AXLE AND WILL NOT WORK.

Hi, Think there are Audifans in Germany that would support us with
answers
to questions Audi America just ignores? Do you have an email address for
them
or Audi in Germany?
I have been trying to get technical answers about the front outer CV joint
on
'92-93 V8s. Is it possible the CV unit from a Audi 100, same years, can be
used
at the outer end of our car's front axle?
Since Audi Am only wanted rich guys to buy the entire three piece axle
assembly, there was never a part number given to our outer CV joint.
I have good advice that it is the same part for '92-'93, but has anyone
actually used one from the 100? Audi is firm that my car is too old to
worry
about and it seems to have no Classic value to them worth supporting. The
other
German cars get their parts, but ours is an orphan like the Merkur.
What would the partsman in Germany know about radseitige Gelenksatz
22591/301957? Should I try interchanging the CV? Do call JD Powers about
Audi's attitude towards their "flagship". Bob
