It was a strange one for sure – agreed hard to track. I was going to pull the fuel rail but couldn’t get my head around why it would only be the 1. rear injectors and 2. could not see any evidence of leakage.
Those lines are buried in rubber covering too, the bottom of which was funnelling fuel to the rear injector area, where it “carmelized”

Do you have your source for the part/# handy?

I did OEM on those - I figured the chance of a fire if I didn't make them up right wasn't worth the cost :) 
Mine were misting fuel under pressure but it was hard to tell without an extra person watching.  You could smell it but tracking took a bit.

Actually there is fuel leak and found the two lines that criss-cross the 
manifold are leaking.  Make some up or OEM??
