Sometimes that can be the hardest part.
If it's like a Type 44, the inner door card has plastic prongs
sticking out of it that pop in/out of retainers spaced around the
outer edge of the door.
It it's like my '99 A4, there are two hooks at the top of the panel
that sit in holes near the upper edges of the door. Once you undo a
few bolts/screws (one hidden behind the door release), the panel
just lifts up and away. However,
Once you free it, you'll need to reach behind to undo electrical
connections and door release rods.
You can tell which you have by pulling on the bottom edge of the
panel. If it feels stuck, it probably has prongs that need to
be pried out of their sockets; use a putty knife to distribute
the prying load. If it pulls freely away about an inch, it's
probably like the A4.
