[V8] Magic liquid

Well, since the parts car is now running flawlessly, and the rebuilt  
rack it came with is definatly tighter than the 5-speeds(it's  
proposed destination).....I decided to drain the tranny.  Even with  
the 3 quarts or so I put in when I got it, it still was totally  
black.  Nice thing was no chunkies/metal whatsoever in the drain  
pan.  I put 3.5 quarts of Mobil 1 and a 1/2 quart of "Greased  
Lightning Synthetic Transmission Treatment......The label basically  
says it will fix all your possible tranny problems, but the "Stops  
Slippage" got me as most of the others(which were more expensive)  
wouldn't dare make that claim.  I figured what the hell, it's only  
$8.....Test drive showed much smoother shifting, but still slipped on  
kickdown on the highway......
That was a few days ago, and I decided to drive it tonight for an  
errand, and low and behold.....ITS MUCH BETTER.....Still slips on the  
highway in Sport mode, but in E, seems to work much better, if not  
totally fine.  Around town, it's perfect.  I'm thinking I'm gonna  
commit to pulling the tranny filter, then just like my other "parts  
car".....will be left with something too nice to part out in the  
end.  Was actually a joy to drive, and the list of problems seems a  
lot smaller now......Tom
