[V8] trans fluid change

I recall doing the filter/ cooler line thing shortly after reading  
that post of Mr. C's back in 03.  At the time my Lago car had  
something like 75K.   I did it more to get my hand's dirty/get to  
know my car, as I easily could have done the 4 quart drain/fill, as  
my filter wasn't really all that dirty.  If it's never come out, the  
gasket is probably leaking anyway.   Once a new filter is in there,  
you can easily just pull the 2 cooler lines every 50K/whatever, and  
let the tranny pump it all out(how I do the Allison Tranny in the  
Duramax, which holds 21 quarts!)  The part's car I just got has 145K  
or so, and it showed 2 quarts low of black goo.  I put 2 quarts in  
it, and while it shifts better...it's a bit slow on the draw, and  
slips when kickdown occurs on the highway.  A new filter "might" fix  
that, or the damage was already done by the clogged filter/black  
goo....will probably never know as it's other issues make it a  
gonner.  I'm wishing someone before had bothered to change the filter/ 
fluid.  Oh, and the pan leaks, so that's probably where the 2 quarts  
went......Tom
