Yea, there are a number of old chevies fords and dodges around. Don't see
the point much to it, even in not my case. 4k is the most ill ever really
pull so a small suv or car can handle that.

There was a guy I worked with with a 75 power wagon and 40-something in it.
Cool truck but it was so loud, terrible gearing, and always broke on him.
Parts aren't cheap for old mopars either. Also had an older chevy guy that
had similar stories, but cheap ass parts.

My pick for light duty towing though, would be a chevy blazer type car (the
olds bravada is a nice-ish interiored s15) or a ford ranger without the 4.0.
As the rangers are pretty reliable and cheap to maintain.

I, however, prefer better mileage, and to consolidate a few cars into one.
I'll tow maybe 3 times a year, for moving and rare distance track events.
I like wagons for stowage, moving lumber, and relatively superior mileage vs
their truck/suv adversaries. I feel a wagon is superior in all ways under
6k towing req's or trying to drive through 2ft of snow in an unplowed field.

(Slight caveat) I did take my V8 through an unsnowplowed section road which
became a field, and there was snow up past the door sills, but I had a
running 30mph start, and I figured id be f'd either way so I kept it moving
at about that speed for a mile till I hit a real road again. They had
plowed all the snow into an intersection and blocked off one road, which I
needed, I rerouted the wrong way north and had to go tthis way.

Made it with flying colors though. I was on my way to assist a fella with
an audi 100 with skipped timing belt. Woo
