[V8] hall sensor

Methinks they are considerably different beasts ... I believe the CPS is mounted prominently behind the cam pulley, not buried in the base of a dizzy. I've done Hall senders on I-5 distributors & on my BMW motorcycle, but as I recall the V8 version isn't plainly visible when the cap is removed.

It is true that if they got it in there somehow, it has to be possible to take it out ... and yain't gonna break it any worse in trying to fix it, but I have to say that #344 seemed to run just fine even with the Hall Sender code ...

It is funny that this came up already today - but a distributor off a VW 4 cylinder of the same era has a very similar hall sensor setup. I looked at trying to retrofit but found a used unit instead. It was way beyond what I could do in my garage with a big hammer.

Define possible. :)
The S-car list did a group buy on just a Hall sensor, to be adapted/spliced/fit
into their Crank Position Sensor. I believe the part number was BBHME301.

You might be able to find a similar sensor for the V8 distributor, and
adapt/splice/fit it in.
