Well, while it's meaningful when you have a "no start" and get a
"speed sensor" code....the brain isn't quite as perfect as it could
be. Since I got the 5-speed it's had a tiny "something" going on.
Some may remember that when I went to look for the coolant temp
sensor it wasn't there. I found it tucked up on the top rear of
passenger head, under the massive wiring harness(apparently there's a
coolant port there that does ?......) Anyway, since both head's were
replaced(from Germany) when the belt broke while idling in the tech's
shop(to make wealthy PO happy), someone hooked up the temp sensor to
the violet one in that strange spot on the top of the pass head.
Since that sensor tested bad anyway, I've been meaning to deal with
that since I bought the car. It still drove fine/awsome, but idle'd
a bit high, mileage was around 19......I just removed the "plug" that
was in the spot that most find their coolant sensor(6mm hex plug, and
was easy and put the new White sensor in there.) The left hand Knock
sensor was if nothing else, baked to death, and looked like it had
spent 20 years in an oven.....Anyway, new Coolant temp sensor/New
(stolen from parts car) Knock sensor, and Vroom........Idle's
perfect....21 on the brief drive on the highway.....all is good, and
I still have no codes. Here's the knock sensor. No codes does not
mean things are perfect in a non perfect world.............Tom
