Hi Ron, We have all had this problem. I think the wires at the distributors may have 
gotten mixed. 
1  7    3  8 
4  6    2  5     is the pattern looking toward the firewall. 

Trace them out again and maybe two will be off. I also had a bad Hall Sender on 
the right side dist. that gave similar results. You know all this, but good luck!
