[V8] V8 CV Axles

Hi Bob-

I had recently replaced an Audi front axle, with a Cardone. 

I went with the $100.00 new part vs. the $50.00 rebuilt unit.

I sourced it through NAPA didn't spend any time shopping it.

It looked good quality and came with a new grade 8 bolt.

So far so good.

What is the best bet to replace a left front CV half axle that has a ripped 
boot and 
the outer joint has been clicking in turns. There is a German OEM part for 
$500.+ 
or a Cardone rebuild for $55. thru Rockauto plus shipping both ways (and 
tying up 
the mechanic for two weeks). Are there other options for rebuilt half axles 
off the 
shelf out there. 

Anyone had a good experience with Caldone rebuilding 
or know of a source for a good left front CV? Thanks, Bob
