[V8] replacing wheels

All true. As a follow-on perspective, the only way you're really going to
find any fitment issues, aside from the UFO brake concern, is if you deviate
a lot on the offset, the width, or the tire size. I'm talking deviations
double or more of what has been discussed so far.

For example, I've got a set of 17-inch wheels that are 9 inches wide and
et35 mounted with 255/40-17 tires and there's no fitment issue. They look
aweseme by the way, but are absolute boat anchors and you can feel it the
moment you turn the wheel or hit a bump.

It does not as long as the offset is 35. The only time the width would
matter at that point is if the wheel or tire will rub on the strut housing.
Sice the V8 came with 8" wide wheels from the factory as well, I don't see
that as an issue in the case of 7 vs 7.5's on the V8.

Hey Tony:

I hearing some folks say 16X7 and others 16X7.5 - does the tire width matter

or can you go either way? The 16X7 offers more choices from what I've seen.
