[V8] Ball joint discussion...

More mis-information... The S car uses a different control arm all together, which will change the track on the v8, and minimally needs the v8/5k inner bushing pressed in it, and it specs a different outer sway bar bushing. I claim that the best thing to do is follow the 'keep it simple stupid' formula. Take a set of calipers and measure the ball joint you took out, and before you put ANY aftermarket labeled ball joint in to replace what you took out, measure that too. The reason being? The very mistake a self-proclaimed v8 guru made below... I'm just a well seasoned suspension guy, and have probably done over 50 sets of 5k/200/v8/S car lower control arms, without a single mistake to the size of the ball joint or the application of the control arm. I claim that's because IME seeing a myriad of creative fitments, I trust no 'reference' information, and I trust my dial calipers to tell me the truth.

Bottom Line: Measure the ball joint you take out, it could save your life.

What's the ball joint on the 5ktq's and 200 10vtq's.......17mm?
Then u say there is a 18mm ball joint for UFO housings. Do u have anything to
support that statement Scott?
Then u say there are 19mm ball joints for //scars......is this correct?

Just trying to clear up some confusion I have. Cause the numbers that have been
given to me for the UFO housings are the 19mm ball joints from the //scars.
