[V8] Radio code remembered by car

WTF?!

It may be a bit of an overreaction but I think I'd be inclined to take my
$120 over to crutchfield.com and see what I could get for it and replace the
radio to free myself from the Audi service dog-chain. One-twenty every time
you replace the battery, every time you do anything that needs the battery
unhooked? Ridiculous. Even you're only "buying" the code the one time, I
still think it's highway robbery. I sure hope Stammler can help. My codes
were for radios in 92-94 V8 Quattros.

Thanks for the feedback.
My local dealer (Chantilly VA) wants $120 for me to bring the car in. He
says he has to hook the radio up to some scanning device, transmit it to
Germany in order to get back the code. I was a little incredulous to say
the least!
Maybe I'll try the Boulder Colorado dealer.
