Seamus:
When you say "I don't see any drips or we spots," does that mean you just
looked at
your car the way it is, and you didn't remove anything in the engine room?
Or, did you remove the air-cleaner cover to see the fuel hoses, etc.?
A while ago, I had to replace stainless steel braided fuel hoses. One of
them was
leaking quite a bit. and the other looked pretty bad as well.

Subject: [V8] Strut bearings/mounts, also fuel...

Do the strut mounts in these cars tend wear out? I've looked at a few
pictures, but can't tell whether they're just a solid piece of metal or if
they have a rubber bushing in the middle. How do I know if I need to replace
the strut mount as well as the bearing? I already have a pair of the
bearings, but I don't want to go to the trouble of installing them if the
mount is bad.
Also, I seem to be getting terrible mileage. I barely get 200 miles from
full to empty and there is a strong fuel smell inside and out. I don't see
any drips or wet spots though.
Any help is appreciated.
Seamus
