[V8] Sputter, studder, putt putt...

I just did the coolant sensor test on the 5 speed awhile back, and  
while I had to lay on the motor, I was able to get the test leads  
down there(pretty sure I removed the distributor).  The car ran fine,  
just was getting bad gas mileage....no sputter/putt, and the sensor  
was definatly bad(and purple in color if anyone remembers that), and  
drives better cold now, and mileage is back.  Believe the ECU deals  
with the bad sensor, and just run's richer.   I went thru all those  
tests on the parts car trying to figure out the sputter/putt putt,  
and it turned out 2 plug wires were switched, and those were the  
cylinders full of gas.  If you know that the wires are right, maybe  
pull the plugs, and see if one's wet(or 2 in my case)....and maybe  
that's a bad wire/plug since you just replaced them w/ used.  As I  
recall, I got no codes, on the bad coolant sensor for some reason....Tom
