Found these pix of the engine and donor car..personally didn't pull the
engine that was done by ACE Auto the recycler. Bought the car & all
pieces, took the trans, LSD and tube for my 87S4.  Just 60K miles the engine 
was really sweet.
Wreckers will cut piping and wiring to extract saves time there isn't much 
margin in used parts.

To prevent TBF is easy. 1. Understand what goes on there 2. Inspect the
drive shaft collar and exposed splines via the little peep hole every year
or so. 3. If you see the collar has crept forward open it up and undo the
pinch bolt. Re-torque it.  Go back to #1.
