[V8] Steering rack mount

Hey, well the 5-speed's been sitting till I could do something about  
that cracked left mount.......Really wanted to drive it so I made a  
better plate than the "get me home" Simson tie cut out plate(which  
bent miserable).  I got some 1/4" scrap 6062 Aluminum and with a jig  
saw and a grinder, made up a plate...I can remove it in 5 min, and  
finally weld that oem mount(junk) , but the aluminum  plate locked  
that rack right in there, and after a 200 mile rt/seems to have  
locked the rack in place.  Both the parts car, and the Panther car  
have the crack in the same place....How's your's looking.....Made a  
template of that plate, and if I did it out of steel, could easily  
weld that in place.....Tom
