Well, last night after work, I worked on it till dark and found the 2
-10mm bolts on the sides loose and was able to tighten them from
above with my custom bent 10mm box end and a few cuss words, and
didn't have to remove the bumper. This pulled the corner lights into
alighnment. The 4 bolts/square nuts on the radiator support(is that
properly called a lock carrier?) were tight, and when loosened, in
addition to having the 4 phillips loosened, got it to move a bit,
but that's definatly not the problem. I ended up working the
adjusters a bunch, and it's now driveable at night, but the outside-
upper corners of the lights are still sticking way out. When I get
some free time, I'm gonna pull that bumper and see what I see.
Found out today, that my friend's shop has the Bosch headlight
alighnment mirror thingy, so once I get this all sorted out, and
those other headlights in, pretty sure I can dial it in(since the
book is sorely missing a few pages on headlight alighnment)....Best
part is the motor/etc is so clean you could eat off it, and doesn't
leak a drop/smoother-quieter idle with that new oil pump-fan clutch
bearings, and can now actually have a drag race between it and the 5-
speed(during the day, until I get this headlight thing figured out).
I've also got some relays/boxes/wires etc to relay the headlights,
but put it off as it's been parked. Thanks for all the
input.....Here's the pic....Tom
