[V8] Is anyone else doing any refurbishing of their V8s?

My V8 is still at the shop although I expect it to be complete this week. I had visitation about ten days ago, and the front bumper was off, the new one primed and ready. The corrosion that had begun beneath the trunk lid was being attended to, and the trunk lid itself was being refinished. There was a little tweak in back of the rear tire that was there when I bought the car. It looked like someone who was a bit elderly misjudged either backing out or driving in through a narrow garage door opening. The body shop wanted to fix that, so I decided to go for it. They felt strongly that the paint match they could do would be nearly exact. We’ll see.

Another big change will be the BBS wheels which will be installed after refinishing. The shop has a LOT of experience with refinishing wheels, apparently, and these BBS wheels that I bought (Thanks, Ron!), should clean up really well.

Once done, I expect the car to be as near new as it can be without repainting the entire body. (although most of it is going to be repainted in this process anyway.).
